Asalaamu Alaikum Beloved Ummah! It's here: our 2013 summer program for Muslim middle school girls (ages 10-14). We spend six weeks covering four unique classes:
Math+(hem+addicts)= Mathematics! We sharpen our math skills using creative, hands on methods to gain confidence as mathematicians and artists ALL LEVELS WELCOME
Conversational Arabic Our instructors use fun and engaging tools to share their love of speaking Arabic ALL LEVELS WELCOME
Human Lights and Rights We share the light of all voices in thoughtfully guided discussions on race, class and justice by using media (yes, our girls will run our YouTube Channel!), literature, poetry and so much more
Livin' the Life Skills To ANAAS, life skills means leadership, study skills, media awareness, money management and more!
Classes run Monday - Thursday, 9:30 to 4:00 from July 15 to August 22 with a break for Eid al-Fitr.

A Moroccan-themed tea party to celebrate the Eid!
Bring your young daughter, granddaughter, niece, or little sister to this fun-filled event!
Festivities will include brunch, henna (adults pay), mini marketplace, games, and crafts.
Tea party will be held (Inshallah) at the YWCA, 30 Third Avenue, 2nd floor gallery, Brooklyn, NY 11217 on Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 1pm-4pm.

This event is being hosted by Family Affair Productions, a collaborative endeavor by Muslim cousins, Ayesha Hutchison and Fatimah Abdush-Shahid. Our mission is to produce Muslimah enrichment program.
In this course students will learn about:
The virtues of Du`a, its guidelines and etiquettes
The different categories of Du`a and their significance
The sources and proofs of the narrated Du`a
The ruling of raising the hands while making Du`a
The reason and wisdom Du`as are accepted and rejected
Recognizing individuals throughout the Greater New Haven area who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in their respected field of endeavor or exceptional community service.
