Since March 2011 the people of Syria have been bravely trying to win their freedoms. Initially with peaceful demonstrations and later with more organised opposition, all their efforts have been met with violent, ruthless crackdowns by the murderous regime. It is estimated that to date more than 70,000 people have been slaughtered, many of them women and children.
The Russians blatantly support the regime, blocking any progress at the UN and openly supplying the regime with arms, apparently soon to include deadly S 300 anti aircraft missiles. This evidently to fully ensure that any remote ideas of a no fly zone to protect people from government airstrikes remains firmly a non starter. Now we hear Iranian & Hezbollah "fighters" are invading Syria to take part in and support the brutal put down of all opposition.
Please sign this petition and call on America & Western Europe to stand up to this horror. Of course there would be difficulties and dangers involved but for Gods sake how many more massacres and awful, blood drenched scenes from devestated Syrian streets, schools and hospitals must we see? It is time to stand up to the disgraceful Russian threats and the disgusting regime in Syria. Please act now, before countless thousands more have to die.
Last week we sent you an action alert urging support for our campaign to Escalate the Talk, Not the War, in Syria. We were grateful to get a strong response, and many other peace organizations are also working on this issue; together, our efforts are sorely needed to counteract calls in the media and by […]
Despite calls to the contrary from unsuccessful presidential candidate John McCain and other “when your only tool is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail” know-nothing war-mongers, who apparently thought the disastrous Iraq and Afghanistan wars were just ducky, the Obama Administration has so far held off on a military escalation in Syria. Of […]
This war has been going on for too long. It's about time that the President of United States of America and The European Union takes action; demand a solution and end this war! They've the power to do so.
There's too many lives that have gone to waste.
I'm going to put a link that pretty much explains why I pledge you to sign this petition. This video have some really shocking and inhumane images, so brace yourselves.
Note that the chopping was done by children. Take action and sign.
Syria's sectarian civil war is endangering Shi'ite shrines.
Detailed information about the problem can be found at http://goo.gl/bfwD1 and here, http://goo.gl/bhyhl
Every day entire families are killed. Starved orphan children raped. We want Canadian government to admit never tried a single effort to interven in over 2 years all what we did is watch. Shame.
It's starting to escalate in Syria. Innocent children, women and men get killed by the radical regime. And we're doing NOTHING. The United Nations, N.A.T.O and the United States have to take action NOW! Sign this petition if you want to save THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of innocent people! Sign NOW!
The Assad regime has killed thousands of Syrians since March of 2011. Every country on the UN Security Council, with the exception of China and Russia, supports the Syrian people's struggle for freedom and democracy. Support is nothing without Action!
To prove the brutality in Syria, every time the U.N. votes on the Syria Civil War, Assad orders his deaths squads to brutally executive his fellow countrymen.
Bodies are found in between the rubble of the destruction of homes, schools, and worship houses. The Assad regime has executed his own fellow countrymen and then, he throws them onto the Syrian soil like trash. The Syrian people are not trash; they are HUMAN BEINGS!
Syrians deserve their chance at a democracy. Syrians are humans who BLEED and NEED your attention. There are millions of compassionate, concerned and democratic-loving people both in and outside of the entire Middle East.
It is time for the Secretary General of the United Nations and all five permanent members of the Security Council to get involved with this crisis. Sixty-thousand PLUS lives, hundreds of thousands of refugees, the video's of the Syrian children and women pleading for the World's help, and finding executed bodies on Syria's soil is more than enough to provide justification to intervene in Syria.
The WORLD CAN NO LONGER TURN THEIR BACKS ON THE SYRIAN PEOPLE! The World can no longer believe they are BLINDED and ignore the BRUTALITY of Assad regime.
NEXT MONTH WILL MARK THE TWO YEARS OF SYRIAN BLOODSHED,though it has been going on for many years behind the world's eyes.
SUPPORT IS NOTHING WITHOUT ACTION. SYRIANS ARE ASKING: WHERE IS YOUR HUMANITY? THEY ARE PLEADING FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION! THE CALL TO ACTION IS NOW!
Due to the Syrian crisis, thousands of Syrians are seeking refuge in the European Union. Between March 2011 and September 2012, 21,000 Syrians did just that. As the situation in Syria gets worse and winter comes, it is essential that the European Union makes sure that all Syrians receive the protection that they need.
Right now, some countries offer protection and safety, while others subject refugees to detention, forced deportation, and complicated procedures in order to get protection. For example, Germany and Sweden automatically grant protection, while out of 10,000 refugees, Greece has only given 6 protection. There needs to be universal standards across the EU that ensures Syrians can easily receive protection, including access to medical treatment, humanitarian visas (with simplified visa procedures), and work and residence options.
Please tell the EU to protect Syrian refugees!
Because Care2 have misinformed the public, children are not being used by the freedom fighters in Syria, and we, activists for the Syrian Revolution demand to know their source, sounds like Regime propoganda!!

The Syrian rebels have been fighting a long and hard battle against their greedy government for 1 year, 8 months and 2 days. There have been thousands upon thousands of deaths and if Britain were to arm the rebels, this conflict could be settled quicker and the they could begin to form their own government. Please sign this petition to urge David Cameron to give the go-ahead to arm the rebels!
This petition has no other aim than gathering people of Syria. We are all one People : Human Beings.
May Peace & Love enlighten your heart.

The situation in Syria is a clear example of why the U.N. MUST change their current policy of allowing 'superpower' nations to veto a resolution. As we all know Russia and China hold veto powers and have prevented the resolutions against Assad from being passed. The result of this as the world has witnessed is: Assad has been given the greenlight to murder thousands of his own people including women and children.
The policy on passing resolutions should be: when 'A CLEAR MAJORITY OF NATIONS' i.e. 80-90% votes yes on a resolution then the resolution should be passed;if the U.N. would adopt a policy similar to this then the U.N. could be a highly effective organization for world peace but as it stands right now they are a highly ineffective organization for world peace and as we see they have let the people of Syria down amongst others throughout the years.
Statement by Peace Action Calling for a Halt to the Military Violence and Human Rights Violations in Syria March 6, 2012 Peace Action deeply deplores the military action taken by Syria’s armed forces to violently suppress opposition to the government of President Bashar al-Assad. This military action is largely responsible for the deaths of [...]
