With the latest disgraceful vote on the Manchin-Toomey amendment, we the underrsigned, call on Majority Leader Reid to keep his promise from the beginning of the session and at the very least force the filibuster to be a Talking Filibuster. We would, of course, prefer that the majority actually would be able to work it's will but failing that, forcing the minority to explain to the American People why they are opposing whatever measure they are opposing would be the minimum acceptable standard.

heidi the girl of alps is the best cartoon i ever saw.i saw this cartoon whn i was 11 or 12yrs...it's a only cartoon who touch my heart and still it has special place in my heart.it makes me some good memories of childhood.i w8 whole day for this show.i alwaqys eat food whn it air on cartoon network till thn i wait.
i never thought that i can be addicted to anything specially for a cartoon??but it's true that m getting frustrated to watch this series again.i try to found full episodes or edited movie but didn't gt ant result.i request many times on cartoon network india website.but didn't got any response.they didn't restart this show.cartoon network needs to play good shows whether they r old series.but no..they r telecasting boring cartoon.

Stop Slaughtering Camels in the name of God

Camel Slaughter in the name of God or Allah is prevalent in Hyderabad and many other parts of Pakistan where butchers get busy in slaughtering the sacrificial animals as they consider, on Eidul Azha. The sacrifice commonly known as Qurbani or Zibah, means slaughter of an animal in the name of God. 

Imagine the brutal scene when the innocent animal welters lying in a pool of blood, while the human ghouls look at.

Allow Pagan Marriage in England and Wales to be Legal

In the UK pagans cannot have legal handfasting ceremonies in England and Wales, I feel this is a restrictive law which is unfair, especcially when Scotland has legalised handfasting - I want to be able to have a legal pagan handfasting in my country of origin, it is unfair that I would either have to have two ceremonies or go to Scotland! 
I am sure that many other UK Pagans feel this way as well. Please sign this petition and help Pagans to be able to marry according to our beliefs - just like christians and muslims.

Save the Endangered Oriental Stork!

Every autumn, about 500 black-and-white oriental storks -- around 20% of the world's total -- rest in the Beidagang wetland reserve for about two weeks before continuing to migrate south. This year, 20 birds never took off again after hunters laid down the toxic pesticide carbofuran in an effort to kill them. At least two dozen additional birds were saved by quick action by bird watchers and rescuers.

Hunting rare wild animals is fairly common in China due to the superstitious belief that they are especially nutritious. The oriental stork, which stands nearly four feet tall with a wingspan of nearly eight feet, is venerated in China and Japan. Swans and ducks are also targeted in similar attacks.

Oriental cranes are to be respected and admired, not poisoned for food. Please sign the petition to urge China's Ministry of Environmental Protection to protect these beautiful rare birds from poison attacks.

Binnenkort gaat Paul weer een verzoek tot in vrijheidstelling indienen bij de Gouverneur van de staat Illinois. De kans dat dit wordt ingewilligd is zeer klein. Steunbetuigingen hiervoor zijn van zeer groot belang en kunnen een positieve bijdrage leveren. Inmiddels zit Paul ruim 20 jaar opgesloten. Met de strafmaat die hier in Nederland gehanteerd wordt voor de misstap die hij destijds heeft gemaakt, zou hij hier inmiddels alweer een vrij man zijn. Helaas is dat in Amerika wel anders.

The residents of Watson Hall have voiced numerous times that the conduct of Heidi Flees (Assistant to the Director) is detrimental to the community of Watson Hall. Unrealistic expectations of quiet hour policies along with unprofessional communication with the residents has created a negative atmosphere. We hope that residents sign this petition to bring these problems to the attention of upper management. Students do not feel at home with Heidi Flees as an AD, but rather a prisoner at a detention facility. Residents do not deserve to be treated this way ever, much less in a place they have paid to live in.
