More and more people are moving to Dubai with their beloved pets. One facility that is sorely missing here is a public park or beach for dogs to run around & socialise with each other. Dog owners are already restricted to where they can live with their pets and walk them in Dubai so a facility like this will be welcomed. There will be a charge for every dog to enter the park and beach-the funds will then be used to maintain the area, enforce the rules and keep the areas clean. Please support

NYU's Abu Dhabi branch (NYUAD) sub-contracts several drivers through a third-party company, and pays it about 12000 UAE Dirhams (AED) towards the monthly salary of each driver. But in reality, the drivers get a meagre 2600 AED, roughly 20% of what they should actually get. This is utterly unfair. NYUAD seems to be aware of this, but is turning a blind eye to it.
It is NYUAD's responsibility to ensure that the company pays the drivers their full pay. NYUAD should acknowledge the issue and stop looking the other way. Urge NYU Abu Dhabi to ensure sub-contract drivers get fair wages by signing this petition now!
The drivers are extremely frightened to talk about their problems for fear of losing their jobs and the only source of livelihood they and their families back home have. Therefore, NYUAD should ensure that the company or other staff do not in any way spoil their livelihoods.
NYUAD should either employ the drivers directly or get concrete assurances from the company involved about increasing the drivers' salary, with serious consequences to the contract if the company does not comply. If NYUAD really has the will to be a responsible employer respecting human rights, it can and should address and resolve this issue immediately.
At the Mina Animal Market located in Abu Dhabi, animals such as dogs, cats, birds, and many more are cramped up in unhealthy and cruel conditions. Most of the animals...
- don't even have water or food in their small cages
- are sick and some of them are too young to be sold.
- have to live in their own excrements next to dead animals
As humans, we have a responsibility towards every living creature. Just imagine yourself living in those conditions.
Please stop the cruelty now and sign the petition!
